Oct 24 Simple Cozy Fall Decorating Ideas for the Bedroom

This is such a fun time of year to decorate! I love the traditional colors of fall; rich brown, orange, yellow, and red. I also appreciate the neutral decorating style using white pumpkins and the colors of green, tan, and creams. My bedroom is white, grey, and blush, which seems a bit unconventional for fall decorating. Let me show you how I was able to add simple fall decor to give my bedroom a cozy seasonal autumnal feel using non fall like colors.

The best way to achieve a cozy feel is to add layers! Layers of different textures will create so much interest and depth to any design. Here I've layered 2 duvet covered comforters, linen and cotton. Then I added a quilted satin blanket I found at HomeGoods. The faux fur throw is another layer that is practical and a little whimsical.

Pillows and more pillows. I love small details. I know they don't always show well in photos, but it's those little details that add up to major style-like the grey stitch work on these euro pillows I found at HomeGoods.

The linen shams have a beautiful romantic damask pattern. I love the blush tassels which happen to match the blush quilt perfectly.

I always think pumpkins when I think of fall. When I saw this pink marble pumpkin at HomeGoods I grabbed it fast! Isn't it perfect here! I love this plush velvet pumpkin a sweet friend made for me. Maybe you know her; Janice at Fig and Twigs. She has an eye for all things beautiful!

I like the velvet covered pumpkins for the bedroom because of their soft cozy appearance.

Barren branches and dried leaves conjure up images of fall. For my bedroom my barren branches are tipped with tallow berries. I think the white berries are a sweet touch for the bedroom.

One thing I don't like about fall are the shorter days. I strung up these small pin lights to visually warm the space. I love them being up. They're on a timer so they act as a nightlight when I come up to bed.
