July 4th Party Ideas

Are you entertaining on the 4th of July? Here is a fun and delicious July 4th idea I wanted to share with you. It will really add that pop of color to your July 4th table. Best of all, it’s so easy to do.

I started with maraschino cherries and a bottle of vanilla vodka. You can skip the vodka if you want it nonalcoholic. Strain the cherry juice out of the bottle and replace it with the vanilla vodka. Let it soak in the refrigerator overnight. 

Strain the cherries (but reserve the vodka for a cherry vanilla martini later). Pat them dry with a paper towel. 

I slowly melted white chocolate chips in a small bowl in the microwave. 

Then I set up a little assembly line of cherries, melted white chocolate and blue sugar sprinkles. 

I dip the cherries into melted chocolate then just the tips into the blue sugar. Let dry on parchment paper. 

Red, white and blue! 

I had strawberries, so I thought, why not dip these too? (The strawberries were not soaked in vodka.) 

They look so festive for the 4th of July! They taste delicious too! 

The reserve vanilla vodka flavored with cherry juice will make a delicious cocktail! Cheers!
