Easter Parade Blog Hop
I appreciate you stopping by for the Easter Parade Blog Hop! I promise that you will see amazingly inspired designs from a wide variety of talented bloggers. A special welcome to those of you hopping over from Amie at Meme Hill. I always love seeing Amie's designs. They are so inspiring and beautiful. A big thanks to Sheila at Maison de Cinq for hosting this fun Easter parade blog hop.
When I was a girl I could hardly wait for church to be over so I could rush home and hunt for my Easter basket. I was raised in Southern California so on Easter we spent the day outside. My mom would roast leg of lamb or a sweet ham, along with the usual sides of scalloped potatoes and jello salad. The day before Easter I would ride with my dad to the fresh strawberry stands on Beach Blvd. We would sneak and eat a few of the sweet strawberries on the ride home. My mom would then make strawberry pie for our Easter dessert.
I want the table to look clean and fresh so a white tablecloth goes on first. Easter makes me think of the outdoors so a natural burlap runner is next. To create even more layers I added this colorful runner of tulips!
Gold chargers add beautiful sparkle to the table. The pink and blue egg shaped plates are so perfect for an Easter table setting!
This blush gold rim glassware from HomeGoods is the perfect pink for this table setting. The gold polka-dot glassware creates a fun casual vibe.
I had to have these adorable little place-card bunnies. I found the paper egg shapes in the paper/notebook section of HomeGoods! I find so many little paper treasures there!
Sometimes it's the little touches that add so much in design. Pretty pink ribbon, rick-rack, and tiny paper bunnies become simple napkin rings.
I really need to take a class in floral design. But I tried my best in this wild display! I went to Trader Joe's and picked out the prettiest spring flowers they had. My neighbors trimmed their boxwood and I took some trimmings for around the cake stand.
This antique cement garden bunny is chipped and losing paint, but I love the whimsy he brings to the setting. I found him at an estate sale years ago.
My favorite Easter candy are malted chocolate eggs. I'm lucky I have some left for decorating the table! Once I start I can't stop!
Thank you for coming into my home for the Easter Parade Blog Hop. I hope you enjoyed your stay! I wish you and your family a joyful Easter!
