14 Ideas to Style Your Home for Spring
Who else has spring fever? I can't wait for warmer weather and longer days. To help you jump start your spring decorating I've teamed up with some amazingly talented bloggers/designers for 14 ideas to style your home for spring! Stick with me on this "blog hop" and you will definitely be inspired for spring decorating. A special welcome to those of you that "hopped" over from Janine's blog Happy Happy Nester. I love her style and crafts that make her home so uniquely beautiful! Let's get started on my inspired decor for spring!
I keep the big ticket items in my home neutral - grey, white, black, and oatmeal. That way I can easily introduce different colors to set different moods for the seasons. Spring is the time of year I look forward to getting outside. This spring I was inspired by gorgeous colorful spring flowers, the blue sky, and green rolling hills. I try to "bring the outside in" through my decor choices.
The bunnies have made an appearance in the entryway. In a couple weeks they will multiply around my home for Easter. These colorful orange tulips in a contrasting blue vase pop in my black and white entryway. I love the playful "hello" print welcoming my friends and family.
Soft and inviting for spring, this simple blush pillow from HomeGoods set my color choice in the living room. I searched my books for pink jacket covers and found these gorgeous flowers to continue the color theme. Tulips are the ultimate spring flower! The grey floral print pillows soften up the hard lines of the sofa. The furry textures make this living room cozy and welcoming.
The look of the bar cart was brightened with this signed artwork from HomeGoods. With pretty pink and gold glassware and accessories this bar cart is ready for spring entertaining. If you're interested in "Spring Cocktails for Easy Entertaining" click here.
Daffodils scream spring! The mantel is fun and colorful this spring! The bold print is tamed with an interesting use of greenery, clear glass, and white. I love the added texture from this vase from HomeGoods.
For the first time I went blue in my family room. I mixed in a few new purchases with my standard greys and whites and I love the relaxing results. I rolled up my thick ivory wool rug to lighten the look. The slip covered furniture and soothing blue color has created the perfect vibe for relaxing.
The set of vases from HomeGoods were hand crafted in Portugal. The hand blown blue glass bottle was rescued from my backyard. These items add an artisan touch. Bringing in the outdoor colors and textures of spring with these faux green leaves and succulents from HomeGoods.
My accessory choices are in keeping with my light and bright spring theme. Clear lucite and white are warmed with touches of gold. A collection of pineapples are just what I needed here for interesting texture! I always add a personal touch of whimsy to every space making it my own. In this case it's this little gold octopus from HomeGoods.
I appreciate you stopping by for a peek of my spring decor. I hope you enjoyed your stay. You're ready now to "hop" over to see Kathleen at Lindsay Hill Interiors. I know you will love her design style and how she has decorated for spring!
