Christmas Home Tour 2 Ladies Style
Welcome to my Christmas home tour! Thank you for coming by to see my decorations this year. Christmas is my favorite time of year! When I was a kid I loved the holidays because of the presents under the tree. Of course I still love presents, but now I look forward to gathering friends and family together in my home to celebrate special traditions, old and new.
My decor reflects my constant wish for a white Christmas in a cabin in the woods (I'm such a romantic). So lots of lanterns, faux snow, faux fur, trees, cozy throws, greenery, and woodland creatures are all on display this year.
This year my decor reflects the different moods of Christmas. The front of the house is full of color and light! Grey, white, and pops of red greet friends and family. There's also lots of faux fur with gold and silver accents. The front room is the perfect spot to start a celebration!
The flocked tree is the start of a new tradition. Not wanting to distract from the tree's natural beauty I only added ornaments that sparkle and shine instead of colorful ones. I managed to make 2 white yarn Anthropologie knockoff wreaths to add to my decor this year; they were easier to make than I thought.
I am thrilled this year to carry on with the tradition of using my Mom's cherished plaid dinner plates! I love the way they look mixed with my white everyday dishes. We will still use my own holiday white and gold plates, mixing old with new!
The bar cart is tucked in a cozy spot under the stairwell ready for the holidays!
The back of the house is primarily evergreens, silvers, and golds. The vibe here is definitely comfy, cozy and quiet by the fire. Natural elements of burlap, twine and birch highlight the woodsy feel. Another first is this tabletop green tree. It is loaded with our traditional handed down family ornaments. I love it! (Bonus, it doesn't take up much room)
I truly wanted to create a special intimate space this Christmas. I love this colorful red duvet! It's very different from the usual colors I choose; it honestly feels like I'm on a getaway.
The white and grey are more my style for creating a soothing quiet place to retire. So now I have both! It's fun to change things up!
Thank you so much for stopping by my Christmas home tour. Wishing you and your family a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year!
