This is the most wonderful time of the year! I’ve always decorated with the usual Christmas decorations in the usual places in my home. It wasn’t until I joined Pinterest that I saw people decorating their bedrooms for Christmas. What a fabulous idea! It really makes the holidays special. The theme for my Christmas decor this year is rustic luxe.

This lantern, which is usually on my front porch, is perfect for my rustic luxe design. I put in a birch candle, but will rely on battery twinkle lights for ambience. The faux snow adds to the effect.

One of the first thing I do is get out my winter quilt and comforter. Layers and layers of bedding creates a cozy haven for these long winter nights.

Another layer I like to add is on the floor. It feels so luxurious to step out of bed, on a cold winter morning, onto a plush sheepskin rug. The sparkle of mercury glass ornaments are another luxe addition to my bedroom.

The faux furry pillows and throw are the color of snow. Their beautiful texture looks and feels so comfy and cozy.

My lit trees are from HomeGoods. I bought them for my front porch years ago. I decided to try them in my bedroom and love the results! No ornaments needed here for my simple display. The faux snow gives the effect of a winter wonderland. Thinking of snow, I grabbed a few snowflake ornaments off the tree and hung them on the wall to compliment the winter rustic luxe theme.

I love to bring in a seasonal scent when I decorate. This Pomme Spice scented candle has a fabulous subtle winter scent. I love the festive metallic vessel too. Agape Candles are the best!

I can’t tell you how amazing it is to have a fresh wreath in my bedroom. The scent of fresh evergreen always reminds me of Christmas.

This wreath is from a family owned company called Lynch Creek Farm. I love the fact that they produce sustainable evergreen products that do absolutely no damage to our environment. Lynch Creek Farm cultivates evergreen boughs by trimming the low boughs on a tree.

This 26 inch elegant wreath has a beautiful natural feel with birch branches, silver pine cones and a pretty birch ribbon! I added a string of battery twinkle lights on a timer, so when I go to bed it acts as a gorgeous nightlight.
