HomeGoods Fall Home Tour 2 Ladies Style
Fall. My favorite time of year! The air is crisp and clear with the promise of cooler weather ahead. All our activities and entertaining naturally move inside, so I especially like to celebrate the season by decorating the inside of our home with vignettes that capture the essence of the fall season. Thick cozy knits, plush velvet, warm woolens, and soft faux fur all come out of storage.
A dear friend gave me a beautiful assortment of dried gourds which I painted white. My color scheme was white and grey, and I loved the results! But it was early September when I decorated this way, before fall truly begins.
I gather most of my autumn inspiration from the outdoors. My anticipation grows for when our local markets get their pumpkins in! I was so inspired by the colorful pumpkins and gourds I saw that I quickly changed my decor to reflect the colors of fall - orange, yellow, gold, white, and green. All these colors I mixed with my basic grey this year to create my autumn decorations.
Most of our entertaining is in the kitchen this time of year. Easy and comforting foods are the norm. A stock pot of soup simmering on the stove or a casserole baking in the oven is all we need for easy entertaining. We rarely eat in the dining room (except on Thanksgiving). We choose to gather in the coziness of the kitchen or huddle around the TV watching football.
I love all the fall accents I picked up at HomeGoods this year, especially these fall leaves! I was also able to find metallic and gold shimmering pumpkins; I love the ambiance they created when I placed them throughout the house.
I hope you enjoyed my fall home tour. With my decorating done I'm going to relax and savor the season. Fall - a fabulous time of year, because with it comes the promise of Christmas soon!

Welcome to my Fall Home Tour! I'm excited to show you how I brought the rich warm fall tones into my home. This year is all about neutrals.. creams, white, beige, plaids (of course) and a pop of gold. I love all the textures that fall brings - leathers, faux furs, and cozy knits. I was inspired by beautiful cozy throws I bought from HomeGoods this year. A subtle plaid and neutral print was the starting point for my fall decor, as were all the gold accents I picked up there!
